ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • 1 1/2 cloves of garlic, grated
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Less than 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salad base:
  • 1 1/2 hard boiled egg, chopped
  • 1 1/2 heads of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • Sliced pepperoncini
  • 5 tablespoons Romano cheese, grated

directions

  • 1

    Mix all dressing ingredients together and set aside.

  • 2

    Mix all salad ingredients together except cheese. Toss with dressing and top with Romano cheese.
