Macaroon Kiss Cookie
ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter of margarine, softened
- 1 (3-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp almond extract
- 2 tsp orange juice
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 5 cups sweetened coconut flakes, divided
- 1 small bag hershey’s kisses

Beat butter, cream cheese, and sugars in a large bowl. Add egg yolk, almond extract, and orange juice.

Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt, gradually add to butter mixture

Stir in 3 cups coconut

Cover and refrigerate 1 hour

Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll balls in remaining 2 cups coconut. Place on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes

Remove from oven and immediately press kiss into center of each cookie.
