Ingredients

  • 2 10 oz sirloin steaks
  • 2 cups heavy cream (or 16 fl oz)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped (2 tsp dry)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 20 shrimp, tails and shells removed

    GRILL steaks to medium rare.

  • 2

    HEAT cream in a sauce pan and lightly boil until it is half its original volume, being careful not to scorch.

    STIR in Parmesan cheese, basil,salt and pepper.

    Saute’ shrimp.

  • 5

    TOP steaks with shrimp and cheese sauce.

    a big tip!! do not use walmart brand cheese..it just clumps up doesnt melt

    Use heavy cream once u add Parmesan and let come to slight boil it will thicken but make sure u keep stirring it also thickens once it could a bit

    Looked it up, heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are basically the same thing....I'm trying the heavy whipping cream for tonight's dinner, and will let you know if it tastes the same!!

    I made this the first time and it was amazing everyone loved it. Now im making it again and i dont see the instructions anywhere. so hopefully if my memory is correct you cook the heavy cream till its halfway gone then add the cheese till it thickens.
