Mandarin Orange Salad
ingredients
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 head lettuce
- 1/4 bunch romaine
- 2 medium celery stalks chopped
- 2 green onion sliced
- 1 11 oz can Mandarin Oranges, drained
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash of pepper and red pepper flakes

Sprinkle 1+1 sugar over almonds and melt over medium heat, stirring constantly. After completely melting, let mixture cool and harden then break almonds into pieces.

Mix lettuce, romaine, oranges and almonds. Mix oil, 2T sugar, vinegar, parsley, salt, pepper a and red pepper. Toss with salad.
