Chicken Breasts (Mrs. Kratt)
ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- flour
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 cup butter, divideed
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 Tbsp. dry red wine
- 8 oz. thinly sliced mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss or Muenster cheese

Combine flour, salt and pepper and dredge chicken breasts.

Brown in 1/4 cup butter and olive oil until cooked through.

Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Add wines to skillet, bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes, scraping up browned bits and stirring frequently.

In another skillet, saute mushrooms in 1/4 cup butter for 5 minutes.

Place chicken breasts in baking dish.

Top each with 1 slice cheese.

Diviede mushrooms over chicken and drizzle with pan juices.

Put under preheated broiler 3 minutes until cheese is melted.
