Cocktail Meatballs
These are great at a cocktail party.
ingredients
- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 large onion
- Bay leaves
- 3 T lemon juice
- parsley flakes
- 1 tsp thyme
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- cooking oil
- 1 can tomato soup
- 2 large cans tomato sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups chianti (optional- season to taste)
directions
Combine meat, onion, bread crumbs, salt and pepper and eggs; form into very small balls. Roll in flour, brown in oil. Mix remaining ingredients in large deep kettle and heat to boiling. Add browned meatballs; simmer 1 1/2 hours. Serve in chafing dish.
