Amazing Cookies
ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teapson pure vanilla extract
- 1 (12 ounce) bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used m&ms instead of choc. chips - about 3 small packages of them, or 1/2 bag of the large bags you get at the grocery store)
- 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
- 3/4 teapson baking soda
- 1 teapson fine salt

1. Preheat to 375 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone sheets.

2. Put the butter in a microwave safe bowl, cover and microwave on medium power until melted. Cool slightly.

3. Whisk the sugars, eggs, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.

4. Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt in another bowl.

5. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a wooden spoon; take care not to over mix.

6. Stir in the chocolate chips or chunks. (this is where I added the m&ms instead of the chocolate chips)

7. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared pans. Wet hands slightly and roll the dough into balls. Space the cookies about 2-inches apart on the pans.

8. Bake, until golden, but still soft in the center, 12 to 16 minutes, depending on how chewy or crunchy you like your cookies.

9. Transfer hot cookies with a spatula to a rack to cool. Serve.
