Halibut with Green Sauce
ingredients
- 2.5 lb. halibut or sea bass steaks, about 3/4 inch thick, cut into 6 serving pieces
- 1 T. olive or vegetable oil
- 1 t. seasoned salt
- 1 jar (16 oz.) salsa verde
- 1 ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and shopped
- 2 T. chopped ripe black olives
- Sour cream , if desired
- Fresh cilantro, if desired

* Heat grill. Brush fish slightly with oil; sprinkle with seasoned salt.

* Place fish on grill. Cover grill; cook over medium-high heat about 10 minutes, turning once, until fish flakes easily with fork.

* In a medium bowl, mix salsa, avocado, and olives. Service over fish. Garnish with sour cream and cilantro.
notes
For a low cost dinner, substitute Red Snapper instead of Halibut. Serve with Saffron rice.
