• 1 & 1/3 c Crisco
• 2/3 c butter
• 4 eggs
• 2 c sugar
• 3/4 tsp vanilla
• 8 c flour
• 3/4 tsp salt
• 5 & 1/2tsp baking powder
• 2/3 c warm milk

filling

• Measurements are before chopping and are big guesses- also she said whatever dried fruit you have, but this is what she and I used:
• 2 c dried figs
• 2 c dates
• 1 c dried apricots
• 1 c raisins
• 1 c dried cranberries
• 1 c walnuts
• peel (mostly zest but I wasn’t too careful) from 3 lemons and 3 oranges.
• juice from 1 orange
• 3 Tbs. almond extract
• 1/2 c. whisky
• 1/4 c. brandy
