Best stuffing ever
ingredients
- 3 C unsalted chicken stock
- 1 C dried cranberries
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 1 celery stalk chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1/2lb pork sausage
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 loaf country bread toasted and pieced
- 2 Tbsp chopped sage
- 2 Tbsp parsley
- 1 tsp thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
directions
Preheat oven to 350*. In small saucepan bring chicken stock to a boil. Remove from heat and add cranberries. In large fry pan, heat butter, add onion, celery, and carrot. Saute until tender. Transfer to bowl, use pan to heat sausage until browned. Transfer sausage to vegetable, add spices. In large bowl, stir egg with sotck and cranberries. Add bread and stir. Add vegetable/sausage mix. Add to buttered baking dish and bake for 45-50mins.
