  • 8 oz sliced almonds with skin
  • 16 oz Hershey’s chocolate
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter

    Coarsely chop almonds and divide in 2.

    Grease cookie sheet with lip, and sprinkle half the almonds. Sprinkle 1/2 the chocolate.

    Place butter and sugar in saucepan with candy thermometer. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly (about 30 minutes) until 300, just below hard crack stage. Pour over almonds and chocolate in pan.

    Sprinkle with remaining chocolate and remaining almonds. Cool until set (at least 2 hours) and break apart.
