Mexican Layered salad

ingredients

  • 4 cups torn romaine lettuce
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled, halved and sliced
  • 3 medium chopped tomatoes
  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and sliced
  • 2 large peppers-chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups mayo
  • 1/4 cup canned chopped green chilies
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    In a 2 qt. clear bowl, layer the first 5 ingredients. Combine mayo, chilies,and seasonings. Spread over the top. Sprinkle with chips and cheese.
