  • • 1 onion, chopped

  • • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • • 1 dry package peppercorn sauce (unmixed)
  • • 4 cups beef or vegetable stock
  • • 3 large carrots, sliced
  • • 4 celery sticks, sliced
  • • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • • salt and pepper
  • • 225g (8 oz) fusilli (pasta spirals)
  • • 1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano or 1 tsp dried oregano
