Grama Evelyn's Apple Strudel
ingredients
- Crust:
- 1/6 C Boiling Water
- 1/4 C Butter
- 3/4 C Flour
- 1/2 t Sugar
- 1/2 t Salt
- Filling:
- 4 C Apples, sliced
- 1/2 C Raisins or Currants
- 1/2 C Coconut
- 1/2 C Walnuts Chopped
- 1/2 C Breadcrumbs
- 3/4 C Sugar
- 1 T Cinnamon

Mix butter with boiling water, stir and let cool, mix dry ingredients and add to butter / water mixture, stir until a soft dough is formed, let stand for 1/2 hour, roll out.

Prepare:

Mix together filling ingredients, spoon lengthwise down rolled out crust, roll up, place on rimmed baking sheet, brusk with milk, sprinkle with cinamon sugar, bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Slice, top with ice cream or whipped cream.
