Ranch Bacon Green Beans
I slightly adapted this recipe from a recipe in the “Taste of Home” magazine. The original recipe calls for frying the green beans in butter but I say who needs butter when you have bacon fat.
ingredients
- 1 lb green beans, fresh or frozen but thawed
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 package sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1 envelope of dry ranch salad seasoning packet.

Cook the bacon in a skillet on med -high until crispy and then remove, put on paper towel to drain. Reduce heat to medium and add the mushrooms to bacon fat and cook until tender, then add the beans and the ranch dressing packet, stir until all combined and cook until beans are tender.

Put into a serving bowl and top with the bacon crumbled into pieces.
