Beef - Stuffed Green Peppers

ingredients
- Stuffing Mixture
- 2 and 1/2 pounds hamburger
- 1 egg
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 and 1/2 cups of cooked white rice
- 6 peppers (Red,Green, Yellow, or Orange, or mix these).
- Sauce:
- 3 and 3/4 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup and 2 tablespoons Catsup
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 3/4 cup water
- salt and pepper to taste

Mix meat, egg, salt, and rice.

Cut peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Blanch peppers in boiling hot water for about 5 minutes. Drain.

Place peppers in 9X13 pan.

Stuff with meat mixture.

In a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. Cover peppers with sauce.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
