Swiss Cheese Green Bean Casserole
only the best veggie casserole ever, to be made for all holiday meals
ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Tablespoon onion, grated
- 4 Tablespoons flour
- 2 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 4 cans whole green beans
- 12 oz swiss cheese, grated
- 3 slices of bread
- 2 Tablespoons butter

1) Preheat oven to 400F. Saute onions in 4 T. of butter in a saucepan. Make a white sauce with the flour. Add sour cream, salt and sugar. Heat until just starting to bubble, stirring constantly.

2) In a greased 9x13 pan, layer 2 cans of beans, 6 oz of cheese, and repeat again. Pour the white sauce on top.

3) Tear the bread slices into small pieces. Melt the remaining 2 T. butter, and pour over bread crumbs. Sprinkle on top of the casserole. Bake for 20 minutes at 400F
