Deb's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
Bake for 15-18 minutes, turning cookie sheet once.makes 18 large cookies or 36 medium sized cookies

ingredients
- 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups (plus 2 tbsp) flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 12 oz chocolate chips

Melt butter and cool slightly. Blend butter and sugars thoroughly. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla and mix well.

Stir flour, salt and baking soda together. Add flour, salt and baking soda to batter and mix until blended. Mix in chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 325.

Chill dough in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. (This step is important!)

Roll 1/4 cup amount of dough into a ball. Pull dough apart into two equal segments and push back together to form a circle formation on your cookie sheet. Place on parchment covered cookie sheet to bake.
