Mushroom Cream Sauce for Pasta
Quick and easy sauce for pasta, rice and chicken.
ingredients
- 10 ounces fresh porcini mushrooms (may substitute 1 ounce dried)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

If using dried mushrooms, soak 20 minutes in warm water; drain.

In a medium skillet saute’ garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 2 minutes, or until garlic turns slightly golden in color.

Add mushrooms, saute’ for 3 minutes over medium high heat.

Stir in cream, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 1-2 minutes or until sauce thickens.

Toss prepared pasta with the sauce, and simmer 1-2 minutes.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
notes
May also be used with chicken and rice. Bake chicken in sauce until done.
