Milner's Lemon Meringue Pie
A rich, meringue pie with a great tangy flavor.....
- Crust: Gram Cracker 1/2 c. crushed, 1-2T. melted butter
- Filling: 1can condensed milk, 2 eggs yolks, 2 lemons rind grated; save juice from both lemons
- Meringue: 2 egg whites, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/2 t. white vinegar
This is my friend's family recipe, but it quickly became my favorite birthday cake. I love it b/c the meringue is crispy & light & doesn't take over the pie like a lot of store bought pies. I don't use as much sugar as the recipe calls for-too sweet.
