Cranberry Conserve
Accompaniment for poultry, lamb, sandwiches
ingredients
- 1 12 oz bag cranberries cleaned
- 1 3/4c sugar
- 1 c water
- 1 granny smith apple peeled, cored and chopped
- 1 orange, grate zest and use juice
- 1 lemon, grate zest and use juice
- 3/4 c golden raisins3/4 c chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c cognac
directions
Cook cranberries, sugar, water on low until berries pop. Add apple, zests and juices. Cook 15 minutes. Add raisins and walnuts. Cool and add cognac. Serve cold or use to stuff acorn squash.
notes
Goes well with turkey, chicken, lamb, acorn squash, pork.
