Lemon Bread

Velda Teel served this lemon bread at the Blair-Nichol’s family reunion in 1985. This recipe was featured in “All things Relative” Fall 1985.
ingredients
- Rind of 2 lemons, grated
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 6 eggs
- pinch salt
- 1/2 to 1 cup nuts
directions
Grate the lemons. Add the sugar and oil to the lemon. Mix well. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Bake in 2 well greased 5x9 pans. Bake about an hour at 300° F.
