Spicy Asian Marinade

For 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of chicken, turkey, pork, tofu, or seafood

This all-purpose marinade can be used for chicken or turkey breast, pork cutlets, firm-pressed tofu, and seafood.

ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons ponzu soy sauce or lite soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking sherry, rice wine or sake
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried chile flakes or hot chile paste

    Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. Add meat and marinate no longer then 24 hours.

    This also makes a nice sauce for Asian noodles or as salad dressing.
