Passover Toffee Squares
ingredients
- 1 C. butter or margarine
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 C. sugar
- 1 C. cake meal
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 8 oz chocolate (melted)
- 1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy. Mix in egg, beating well. Add cake meal gradually, blending well (will be stiff).

Lightly grease a 10x15 jelly roll pan.

Spread dough in pan (be sure to spread evenly). Bake at 350° for 20-25 min.

Spread with melted chocolate. Sprinkle chopped nuts over toffee bar and press in. Cut into squares before completely cool.
