Yellow Angel Food Cake
ingredients
- 1 1/2 C sifted cake flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 5 eggs separated
- 1/2 C cold water
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 3/4 t cream of tartar
- 1 t vanilla

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored, add water and beat again. Gradually beat in sugar then fold in dry ingredients a little at a time.

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff but not dry. Fold into egg yolk batter, add vanilla.

Bake in an ungreased tube pan in slow oven for one hour. Same as an angel food cake. Invert pan to cool cake.
