Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
ingredients
- 20 chocolate cream filled Oreos
- 2 tbs melted butter
- 1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 16 oz carton frozen whipped topping thawed
- 15 miniature peanut butter cups, finely chopped
- 1 cup milk cold
- 1 3.9 oz instant chocolate fudge pudding mix

1. Crush 16 cookies; toss with melted butter. Press onto the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate.

2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half of whipped toping. Spread over crust. Sprinkle peanut butter cups over top of filling.

3. In another mixing bowl, beat milk, pudding mix and remaining powdered sugar on low speed for 2 minutes. Fold in remaining whipped topping, and spread over peanut butter cups. Crush remaining cookies; sprinkle over the top. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours.
notes
You could also cover dessert with chocolate ganache or chocolate curls. Also, could prepare in 9 inch square dish and serve as a bar dessert and get 12 pieces rather than 8.
