Quiche Lorraine
This is the quiche mom always makes for special brunches. Bacon and Cheddar or Ham and Swiss, originally from Grandma Sandborn.
ingredients
- 6-8 pieces of bacon, cooked, chopped OR 2 c. diced ham
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 T. butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/2 t seasoned salt
- 1 c. shredded cheddar OR shredded Swiss
- 1 frozen pie crust, unbaked

Saute the onion in the butter.

Beat 4 eggs then add evaporated milk seasoned salt and onion saute.

Fill pie crust with desired meat and cheese combination then pour egg mixture over.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350 degrees for about 15 minutes until knife in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
