ingredients

  • 3 - 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 tbls. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 tbls. flour
  • 5 eggs separated
  • 1 pint sour cream

directions

Soften cream cheese - add lemon juice, vanilla, and salt - blend well. In a small mixing bowl, mix 1/4c. sugar with flour and add to cheese mixture a little at a time. Mix well. Stir in egg yolks 1 at a time time, until blended with cream cheese mixture. Add sour cream and blend well. Beat egg whites until foamy in separate bowl. Add 1/2 c. sugar gradually and beat until stiff. Fold whites into cheese mixture. Pour in pan. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes - 300* - let stand in oven 1 1/2 hours after done - don’t open door! Remove from oven and let cool for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
