Tequila-Lime Turkey Pasta

It is made with tequilla...any questions?


  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1/2 c red onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 1/2 c red pepper, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c yellow pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 jalepeno, seeded and minced
  • 1 c cooked turkey meat, chunked
  • 2 oz tequilla
  • 2 oz lime juice
  • 2 c heavy cream
  • 10 oz cooked pasta (penne)
  • 1 c parmesan, grated
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Lime wedges for garnish


Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add the onions, garlic, shallots, peppers, and jalepenos and saute until vegtables are tender. Deglaze the pan with the lime juice and tequilla. Add the heavy cream and reduce by half. Add the turkey and 1/2 c of the parmesan cheese. Toss with the cooked pasta. Pour into a pasta bowl and garnish with the remaining parmesan cheese and lime wedges.
