Jiăozi (Potstickers/Dumplings)
In Chinese culture Jiăozi is a food eaten during Chinese New Year because the Dumplings symbolize wealth since it’s shaped like a historical Chinese weight measure.

ingredients
Dumplings- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/4 head of Chinese cabbage, minced
- 1 tbsp. ginger, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 package of Dumpling Skin
- 4 tbsp. light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

Combine the ingredients for the filling. Let rest for 20 Minutes.

Place a small amount of filling in the center of each dough circle. Moisten edges with water. Fold and seal to form a plump semi-circle.

Place the dumplings one at a time into a large pot of boiling water; once they rise to the surface, drain and transfer to a plate.

Combine the ingredients for the sauce; serve in small individual dishes.

Dumplings can also be steamed or fried.

Cover bottom of a large non-stick skillet with oil. Brown Dumplings over medium heat turning frequently. Add 1/8 cup of water to skillet - let, cover and steam on low heat about 5 minutes. Keep pan moving to prevent sticking. Remove cover, raise heat and cook for 2 minutes until crisp.
