  • 1 c butter flavored shortening
  • 1 c peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c flour
  • 2 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 c sugar for decoration
  • 1 bag Hershey Kisses

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

    Cream shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, and 1 c white sugar until smooth. Beat eggs in one at a time. Stir in milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, soda, and salt; stir in peanut butter mixture until blended. Shape into balls and roll in white sugar.

    Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and press kiss into center. Return to oven for 30 seconds. Allow to cool completely.
