Harris Wine Cellar's Shrimp Sandwich
ingredients
Shrimp Mixture- 2 cups tiny fresh shrimp
- 1/2 cup diced celery (1 rib)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion (8 medium)
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/8 tsp celery salt
- 1/8 tsp garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp onion salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- dash angostura bitters
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup dry vermouth
- butter
- additional mayonnaise
- 1 loaf dill rye bread
- vermouth sauce
- cucumber, peeled and sliced
- lettuce, shredded
directions
Stir together ingredients for shrimp mixture. For vermouth sauce, blend cream cheese and vermouth together until smooth.
Spread butter and additional mayonnaise on one slice of bread. Spread vermouth sauce on another slice. On top of vermouth sauce, spread a layer of the shrimp mixture, sliced cucumbers, then shredded lettuce. Place other bread slice on top.
