Best Ever Fried Fish
This recipe always garners plenty of compliments, so the effort is well worth it.
ingredients
- 5-10 fillets of fish, preferably a thick, white fish like Redfish or Flounder, cut into bite size chunks or small strips.
- Panko break crumbs
- Flour
- Milk
- 2 eggs
- Vegetable oil
- SeasonAll salt
directions
Be sure the fillets have been cleaned and completely deboned. Cut into pcs or strips. Mix raw eggs and 1/4 cup milk in one bowl. Pour 1 bag of Panko crumbs into a large zip lock bag with 1 tbl season salt. Coat fillet pcs first with plain flour, shake off excess, then dip fillet pcs into egg/milk mixture & then place into zip lock bag with Panko. Seal bag and shake until pcs are thoroughly coated. Do about 10 pcs at a time. Heat oil until a drop of egg/milk mix sizzles. cook 3-4 minutes for each small piece or until golden browned. Place on paper towels to soak up excess oil.
