ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 lbs red skinned potatoes (about 5 medium), cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
- 3 oz Gruyere cheese, shredded (3/4 cup)
