Judy's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Judy HigginsJudy Higgins

These are the Christmas cookies I always make. They freeze well. Use Food Saver and pulse. Store on plate covered with foil or in a tupperware container. I personally like them a day later when they being to soften.

ingredients

  • 2 sticks MARGARINE, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 Tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 12. oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped PECANS or walnuts
  • 1 cup coconut

directions

Beat with electric mixer butter, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, then nuts, then coconut. Chill one hour. Drop 2 inches apart a heaping rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees about 15 min, or until lightly browned.
