G’ma’s Schnecken
ingredients
- 1/2 Lb. Sweet Butter
- 1/2 Pint Sour Cream
- 1 Egg Yolk (save the white)
- 2 Cups Flour
- Dash of salt
- 3 TSP. Cinnamon
- 1 Cup sugar
- Chopped walnuts, raisins, apricot jam
directions

Cream butter, sour cream, egg yolk together

Slowly add flour & salt

Refrigerate dough overnight.

Divide into 6 wedges; return to fridge until ready to roll (in other words, take each wedge out as ready to roll).

Roll out each wedge in cinnamon & sugar mixture.

Brush with egg white.

Fill with nuts, raisins, or jam as desired

Cut into 6 wedges and roll from wide end to narrow.

Bake at 350 for 15 - 30 minutes
