Hector's Margarita

America Hotel in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, is the home of the absolutely best margarita. Hector and Nilda Montoy “adopted” Patt and Gary after they stayed at the America Hotel for their Mexican winter vacations.
ingredients
- 1/3 shot fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 to 1 1/4 shot tequila
- 1 1/2 shot orange liqueur (Cointreau)
- Coarse salt
- Fresh lime wedges

Mix lime juice, tequila, and Cointreau together.

Stir briskly, serve over lots of ice.

Serve with coarse salt and lime wedges.
notes
The glass rim may be salted or not salted depending on your preference. Salt is served on a shallow dish accompanied by lime wedges.
