The Perfect Rib-Eye Steak
I love a pan sauteéd rib-eye, it gets nice and crisp, sealing in all those yummy juices.
ingredients
- 1 grass-fed rib-eye steak
- 1 tsp hawaiian salt
- 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns
- 1 tsp worcestershire
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
directions
- 1
Rub salt, pepper and worcestershire on both sides of steak. Put steak either in a shallow dish or ziploc. Break the rosemary up and add to dish/ziploc, add garlic, cover with olive oil. Allow to soak min 30 min, up to 24 hours.
- 2
Heat an iron skillet on high-heat until you see smoke from the surface. Sauteé steak 4 min, turn over and cover sauteé 4 min on other side for rare. Flip/cover 2 additional minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- 3
Allow to stand 5-10 minutes before cutting in.
notes
Grass-fed beef retains the healthy omega-3's and CLA. In moderation red meat can help warm your body and build blood. An appropriate serving should fit into the palm of your hand.
