Cookies - Congo Bars

ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 (16 oz) pkg brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
directions
Beat butter and sugar with mixer until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the butter mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Spoon into greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack (center will fall when it cools). Cut into squares.
