Cranberry Sauce
This version is more like a chutney, but is a huge hit at Thanksgiving
ingredients
- 1 bag cranberries
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
directions

Add water to small saucepan and dissolve sugar over medium heat.

Add cranberries to water. Cranberries should be covered by water.

Cook cranberries, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat when cranberries have popped and the sauce has thickened.

Zest lemon and orange. Add zest to cranberries. Add juice from both the lemon and orange to taste.

Stir raisins into the cranberries.

Season to taste with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Cover and chill cranberry sauce. When covered, sauce will keep up to two weeks.
