Stir fried beef or chicken (okay it's not brisket but more practical)
A family favourite from our favourite cookbook! Excellent either with beef or chicken. Best when you can serve it immediately.
ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs stir fry beef or chicken breast cut in strips
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey
- 1 Tbsp. ketchup
- Ingredients B
- 2 large onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 bunch broccoli
- large bunch green beans, lightly steamed in micro (3 minutes)
- a few handfuls of snow peas
- a few handfuls of bean sprouts
- mushrooms if you like
- Ingredients C
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
directions

(A) Make marinade in your processor and let beef or chicken marinate for 1 hour or up to 24 hours in fridge. Stir fry beef or chicken in batches till done, remove from pan.

(B) Slice onions, mushrooms and cut broccoli into chunks, steam beans, and heat oil in wok or large pan and

Stir fry vegetables till lightly done. Add beef or chicken and any liquid you have from them. Stir fry quickly together.

(C) Make a well in center and stir in the cornstarch mixture and sesame oil. Cook one to two minutes longer until thickened stirring constantly.

Honestly, I never do Step C or ingredients C and it is still delicious, although it would probably be more delicious but I have no patience!
