Sausage Wild Rice Hot Dish
A good hearty hot dish, I like to cook in the fall.
ingredients
- 1 lb. Pork Sausage
- 1 T. Bell Pepper
- 1/2 C Chopped Celery
- 1 Cup Uncooked Wild Rice
- 2 tsp. Chicken Seasoned Stock
- 1/2 Cup Hot Water
- 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 Can Mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh onion or 1 T. Dried Onion .
- 1/2 tsp. Marjoram
- 1/2 tsp. Gr. Ginger
- 1 C. Grated Cheddar Cheese

Prepare wild rice according to package directions, put aside.

Crumble sausage and brown in a large frying pan, with pepper, celery and onions.

Combine sausage mixture with rest of ingredients in a 3 quart casserole .

Bake at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

I use Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage. This is a good recipe for the hunters to take to the shack for deer hunting.
