This is a family favorite passed down from my Grandma to my mom and then to me.

ingredients

  • 12 corn tortillas cut into fourths
  • 4 cups cooked chicken and shredded (4 breasts - wrap in foil and bake 1 hour at 400 degrees, save juice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 14 ounce can diced green chiles
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 10 ounce can hot enchilada sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • seasoned salt
  • garlic powder

directions

    Combine cooked chicken, sour cream, green chiles, onions, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Mix well.

    Sauce:

    Mix cheddar cheese soup, enchilada sauce, and chicken broth.

    In a 9x13 inch baking pan, layer 1/2 the sauce, then 1/2 the tortillas. Add all the chicken mix and grated cheese. Cover with the rest of the tortillas and the rest of the sauce.

    Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

    Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
