Green beans with bacon
ingredients
- 8 slices thick cut bacon
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed, cooked and drained

Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until brown and crisp, remove from skillet to paper towel to drain. Pour off all but l tbsp drippings.

Add onion to skillet and saute for 3 to 5 min til tender. Crumble the bacon and add to the skillet along with the vinegar, sugar and pepper. Cook, stirring til sugar is dissolved and mix is hot and bubbly. Add cooked beans, toss to coat and heat thru, serve immediately.
