ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Pounds of ground beef or a combination of beef and pork.
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup of fresh Parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 slice of whole wheat bread
  • 1/4 cup of milk

    Preheat oven to 350

  • 2

    Combine the 1 piece of bread and 1/4 cup of milk into a small cup. Let milk soak into bread.

    Combine all ingredients except for the bread in a large bowl. Drain the milk from the cup and add the bread to the mixture breaking it apart with your fingers. Mix together thoroughly.

    Make medium size meatballs and place on a cooking sheet.

    Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
