Chicken Salsa Chili
I made this soup for my 1st Tupperware party.
ingredients
- 1 (16 oz) Jar Chunky Salsa
- 1 (15 oz) Can yellow hominy or garbanzo beans, rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) Can Kidney beans or Black beans, rinsed
- 1 (14 oz) Can chicken broth
- 2 Cups cooked, diced chicken
- 1 (4 oz) Can diced green chili peppers
- 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 2 Tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 - 1/2 Tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/4 Cup Cilantro
- 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
- Toppings
- Sour Cream
- Onion
- Green Onion
- Cheddar Cheese
- Avocado
directions
In Dutch oven, combine all ingredients excluding cilantro and lime juice. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Just before serving stir in lime juice and cilantro. Add toppings to soup or allow guest to top their own soup.
