Chicken Salsa Chili

I made this soup for my 1st Tupperware party.

ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) Jar Chunky Salsa
  • 1 (15 oz) Can yellow hominy or garbanzo beans, rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) Can Kidney beans or Black beans, rinsed
  • 1 (14 oz) Can chicken broth
  • 2 Cups cooked, diced chicken
  • 1 (4 oz) Can diced green chili peppers
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 Tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 - 1/2 Tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • Toppings
  • Sour Cream
  • Onion
  • Green Onion
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Avocado

directions

In Dutch oven, combine all ingredients excluding cilantro and lime juice. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Just before serving stir in lime juice and cilantro. Add toppings to soup or allow guest to top their own soup.
