Granola
Granola cereal made on the stovetop
ingredients
- 1T (13g) Olive Oil
- 4C (376g) Rolled Oats
- 1/3C (75g) Butter
- 2T (43g) Honey
- 1/3C (75g) Brown Sugar
- 1/2C (62g) Almonds, chopped
- 1/3C (40g) Dried Cranberries

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Heat the oil in a large pot over low heat. Add oats and stir until they start to brown and crisp (about 5 minutes).

Remove oats from heat and set aside.

Melt the butter in the same pan.

Stir in the honey and brown sugar.

Stir constantly until mixture becomes bubbly and sugar starts to caramelize.

Return oats to the pot. Continue to cook and stir until oats are thoroughly coated.

Pour granola out onto baking sheet and spread to cool.

Once cool, transfer granola to an airtight container. Mix in the almonds and dried cranberries.
notes
Can be customized with various nuts and dried fruit as desired.
