Quick and Easy Tacos
This recipe is really very easy and is soooo much better than the taco mix you can buy in the grocery store.
ingredients
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chipped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Pepper
- 12 taco shells
- 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese, 3 ounces, shredded
- 1 cup salsa
- Tomatoes, chopped
- Lettuce, chopped
- Onions, chopped
- 1 avocado, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 cup sour cream

Cook onion and garlic in oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat about 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add turkey; cook about 5 minutes, breaking up large pieces, until turkey is no longer pink. Add chili powder, paprika, cilantro, salt and pepper; heat until hot.

For tacos, heat taco shells in oven 6 – 8 minutes or until hot. Spoon 2 tablespoons filling into each taco shell. Top tacos with cheese, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, avocado and sour cream.
