Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits
ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup cold butter
- 1 cup buttermilk

Heat oven to 425°. In large bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk just until moistened.

Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth (about 10 times). Roll out dough to 3/4 inch thickness. With 2 1/2 inch cutter, cut into biscuits. Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until browned.
