Fried Mozzarella Nuggets
Serve me with the chunky dipping sauce!
ingredients
- 8 oz string cheese sticks, room temp
- 1/2 c flour
- salt and pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 c italian seasoned bread crumbs
- extra light olive oil
- chunky dipping sauce
directions

Cut cheese sticks into thirds. Place flour on a plate and season with salt and pepper. Put egg in a bowl. Put bread crumbs on a plate. Coat cheese in flour. Dip into egg. Roll in bread crumbs.

Place nuggets in a single layer on a baking sheet. Let stand 15 minutes. Pour oil into a large skillet and heat to medium-high. Drop the nuggets into the pan, a few at a time, for about 10 seconds. Drain on a paper towel.

Serve with marinara dipping sauce.
